I just saw Big Bad Voodoo Daddy last weekend. I didn't know anything about them other than they are a swing band. Turns out, they've actually been around for 18 years and they still have the original lineup (9 guys!).
It was a really fun show, but I have to say that all the songs sound the same to me and every swing band I've heard sounds like every other swing band I've heard.
The highlight for us thirtysomething folks was when they did the Cold Mizer/Heat Mizer song from "A Year Without A Santa Claus". That was a blast. I guess that song is on their new Christmas album too.
