Must be a throw-back to my youth, when my grandad played in the Viaduct (Railway Works) Brass Band, but I still love to hear a brass band playing Christmas Carols....every year, there's a brass band plays in the Hardshaw shopping centre, last time I managed to see one was a couple of years ago, but it's a case of "To Hell with the shopping, Marilyn, let's have a minute...."

I tend to like the "Silent Night" type of stuff, preferably sung by a good choir.
My wife's favourite is a version of "Silent Night" by Mahalia Jackson. We discovered it on a mini-CD, that was included in a Christmas card (nice idea, don't just send a card, send some music as well) - that was about 10 years ago and the card STILL hasn't been sent!
I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?
