Can someone recommend a coffee pot that actually makes the coffee really hot!
My latest purchase is room temp at best. I'm looking to mod the plate to get more juice to it (2 10 should do the trick, right  ), but I really don't want to burn down the house if I don't have to.
I have a Starbucks coffee maker with a carafe and it is hot. And it stays hot for a few hours like 4 or 5. Well worth the $90 I paid for it.

My mother-in-law has a Bunn coffee maker. It works well. Makes coffee quickly and it is hot. Once we are done moving around the globe -switching between 110 and 220 power I plan to buy one.
in my house we have a...damn I can't remember some kind of walmart brand and it makes it HOT HOT...

I love my french press. Got a nice one as a gift the last time I was in England. It is time consuming so it does not come out as often as I would like.
As an upstanding New England national, I have Dunkin Donuts beans UPS'd to me once a month. It's a yummy, but mild blend.
Blue Mountain rules too. I'm also a fan of the Starbucks style of coffee. Even Dunkin Donuts has their "cafe blend", which is similar.
Then there was this one blend at a casino on the US side of Niagara Falls. Best coffee I ever tasted.
Tracker: There IS a temperature that coffee must be made at for maximum flavor. I'll try to remember what that is. I *think* Bunn makes a model or two that will do it.
To all, believe it or not, McDonald's has a coffee that doesn't totally suck. It's good info to know for those road trips, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it locally.

Mocona --- original blend
I have a saying about it , " If it aint strong and black it's going back "
Can't live with out it , won't live with out it ... when you get to my age you will understand it's what I live for and for what I live ..... little bit of humor tried there but I think it failed .... oh well
Whats that dear it's time for medication oh well time to take some little white pills to make me sleep and then I will wake up at 3 am ready to have a nicely brewed Mocona with nothing else in it ( dairy products don't agree with me any more sugar no good for the ticker ......

I never have really put any thing in my coffe to start with only because when I was a kid we were very very poor I keep telling my children that we were so...... poor that we could not even afford memories
Na we weren't though I just like a strongly brewed coffee ( but the doc reckons the old sugar is a no no and dairy products well I won't say what they do to me here )

My favourite coffee at the moment is Nescafe Alta Rica, which is supposed to be from "finest Latin American Arabica beans", you can get a nice hit when you open the fresh bottle, he, he. Try to limit that to 2 a day, or I get too Buzzy too.
I'm addicted to tea also, must be my British heritage, drink Twinings Lemon scented tea, bout 5 or 6 a day, think I should cut back, I'm into moderation. NIce memories of tea drinking as a child, my mum and Grandma sitting at the table over Christmas chatting, they said tea was good to drink when it's hot, cos it makes you sweat, and that cools you down.
I love columbian coffee...AHHHHHHHH :)
