I'm in Michigan!, and no, I haven't had enough coffee, yet... I got some regular right now.
I miss columbian...
Does any of you obsessive coffee drinkers get stained teeth?

We CAN make a diffrence!
I find a new favorite every few weeks or months, once the "newness" of the current has worn off, or I get immune, or something. Right now, I love Starbucks (brewed at home) Organic Serena Blend. Mmmmm.
At home, I always drink coffee black. At coffee shops, I dump in a good amount of cream (must be real dairy, not that corn syrup-based goop). Never any sugar or those fake flavorings. Eeeuuuww.
Here in Wisconsin certain laws protect the dairy industry. Therefore, real dairy products (cream or half-n-half) is always offered at restaurants and even gas station coffee bars, sometimes alongside the fake stuff. When we travel to other states and find only the fake stuff, I'm not a happy camper.
I always try to buy "shade grown organic fair trade" coffee. Shade grown and organic help ensure that the coffee plantation is bird-friendly. Sun-grown/non-organic coffee plantations mow down the canopy essential for songbirds which migrate there from here and use chemicals which also harm birds. And fair trade indicates that the farmer is receiving a decent living wage for his work and his coffee. IMHO those two things are worth paying a wee bit more for my indulgence. Not to mention that organic really does taste better. :D

If it's black and has caffeine in it, I'm good to go.
"A cheerful heart is good medicine."
Ive taken to espresso lately since my wife got me a machine for my birthday :D Now that's coffee 8) 8) 8) --the dog
I use Star bucks espresso mix. :D
Every once in a while when I think I'm getting too greedy with the caffeine, I try to switch to half-caff, but always find that it gives me gut-rot so much worse than regular.
Anybody else get gut-rot from decaff?

If I know it's decaf, I won't touch it. There's no other point to drinking coffee than the caffeine boost.

De-caf is just a cruel joke to us real coffee drinkers

Heretic!
What about that delicious dark can't-live-without-it taste??? Oh! And the enchanting smell!

100% Columbian. Like Dennis Leary said. I like coffee flavored coffee. :D
That was an old, old post, but I was thinking this just this morning when I woke up and found we were out of regular coffee. We had Tiramasu, Hazelnut, Maple Vienna Creme, and of course decaf - blecchhh! As I walked to the corner store for my daily fix, all I kept thinking was "I want coffee flavored coffee!"
Thank you Dennis and thank you Twisted.
Blame it on the lies that killed us, blame it on the truth that ran us down.
Is Yuban Columbian?
I like Kona coffee too but it's way to expensive, even when I was IN Hawaii.
But since Hawaii has been slowly creeping toward the Island of Jamaica since '76 or so (tectonic musical plates/chairs), maybe Kona coffee should be now be considered Jamaican coffee.
Or 'Hawaican.'
I've never traveled much past...Hazzlenut (BLAH!) I like regular, comlumbian, french roast, thats about it, I only like french vanilla when I'm haveing a desert

Straight Columbian, me ... if obtainable ;-) But strong, black, unpolluted by anything remotely sugary or lactic :D:D:D

The only thing worse than decaf coffee is alcohol free beer. All those trips to the bathroom for no apparent reason.
I am addicted to Starbucks coffee but there are a few other good ones out there like Green Mountain which I think is mostly in the east. By the pound Starbucks cost more but it lasts longer. In my Starbucks coffee maker if I use something like a Maxwell House I have to put 10 scoops to 10 water to get a decent taste. With the Starbucks coffee 4 or 5 scoops does it. So basically thats 2 to 1 so if you do the math $10 for Starbucks and $7 for others you actually come out ahead with Starbucks. By the way, that really does apply to most premium coffees.
Oh yeah, I don't like ANY flavored coffees and do put a little fat free milk and sugar in it. If you saw how much I put in you would say "why bother" since I put so little in just to take a little of the bite off of some coffees. One of those restaurant sugar packets would last me about 5 cups.
When I need a real quick coffee fix I get a 4 shot grande cappuccino with just non fat foam (no milk just the foam)
