Hey everyone,
I'm note sure if my previous post went through so I'm going to post the same one. I'm not meaning to post twice if thats what happens.

So, I'm wondering if anyone has experience with this guitar? I friend of mine is willing to sell it to me for 150-200 dollars and it costs 350 at Guitarcenter.com. Its unplayed (he doesn't play guitar!). Brand new.

Obviously I'm going to play this thing before I buy it, but is this deal just too good to pass up. Is this a good guitar (worth 350)?

This is my first electric so I don't know much about them, but I was planning on my first guitar being a fender or squire or something, b/c it seems to fit the genres I want to play in? Is this guitar mostly for jazz and stuff? I guess that last question is for the ones who have one.

Thanks in advance!

BK

A friend of mine has one, and i've played it quite a bit. They're nice guitars for anything except really high gain stuff (aka metal), really fun to play when you've got them right on the verge of feedback 8)

Playing guitar and never playing for others is like studying medicine and never working in a clinic.

I have a Dot (as opposed to a Dot Deluxe) and it plays very well. Got it as a "second" (there were blemishes in the finish) for just over $200 and it did need a decent set up when it arrived. It's now my primary teaching guitar for electric lessons, so it gets used a lot.

Initially, the feel of the Dot took a little getting used to, but I find that happens with most guitars. You should definitely play it first (but you already know that  ) and get a feel for the neck and body shape in general.

Peace
