I was going to mention him, but thought him too well known. For quite some time, he was the only guy who'd left the Stones and lived.

Maury Muehleisen (Jim Croce's guitar player)Andy Partridge
Andy Powell (Wishbone Ash)
Neil and Tim Finn (Finn Bros, also of Crowded House)

I was thinking about the incredible Jim Croce's guitarist..but I always forgot his name....what a loss..he was so good indeed.

Another great axe player who is always there, behind Dylan, behind Neil Young, and even the Blues brothers, but who was one of the creators of the legendary Stax sound : Steve Cropper.

Buckethead! 8)

Lately I can't get this song out of my head! Jordan

Here's another one I really like: Whitewash

And a lesson from Buckethead: This guy's really out there!

Steve Vai, Joe Satriani - both rather obscure outside of the guitar player crowd.

Waren Cucarullo (Missing Persons)

Billy Zoom (X)

John McLaughlin, obscure beyond the jazz arena.
