I watched the vampire movie 'Queen of the Damned' (not normally my movie type) yesterday with my son and found the music awesome.

I'm hoping I can still get the soundtrack on CD:

1. Not Meant For Me - Wayne Static of Static-X
2. Forsaken - David Draiman of Disturbed
3. System - Chester Bennington of Linkin Park
4. Change - Deftones
5. Redeemer - Marilyn Manson
6. Dead Cell - Papa Roach
7. Penetrate - Godhead
8. Slept So Long - Jay Gordon of Orgy
9. Down With The Sickness - Disturbed
10. Cold-Static - X
11. Headstrong - Earshot
12. Body Crumbles - Dry Cell
13. Excess - Tricky
14. Before I'm Dead - Kidney Thieves

My son says the CD version is not as good as the movie soundtrack but I think I'll give it a try anyway.

Yes - Loved the soundtrack from Wonderboys as well :D

Good catch with the Blues Brothers Vic. 8)
It certainly took long enough to mention.

I'm also wondering why no one has mentioned the film that started putting contemporary rock music in soundtracks...????

I'm sure this is one of Smokin'dog's favs as well....

One of my faves too - the remastered deluxe edition is on a shelf 18 inches from my face as I'm sat at the computer. Double CD, it's worth looking at the track listing in full.....

Disc One - The Original Soundtrack.

1 - The Pusher - Steppenwolf
2 - Born To Be Wild - Steppenwolf
3 - The Weight - Smith
4 - Wasn't Born To Follow - Byrds
5 - If You Want To Be A Bird - Holy Modal Rounders
6 - Don't Bogart Me - Fraternity Of Man
7 - If 6 was 9 - Jimi Hendrix Experience
8 - Kyrie Eleison/Mardi Gras - Electric Prunes
9 - It's Alright Ma (I'm Only Bleeding) - Roger McGuinn
10 - Ballad of Easy Rider - Roger McGuinn

Disc Two - Something In The Air 1967-1969

1 - Pushin' Too Hard - Seeds
2 - I Had Too Much To Dream (Last Night) - Electric Prunes
3 - (We Ain't Got) Nothing Yet - Blues Magoos
4 - San Franciscan Nights - Eric Burdon & The Animals
5 - White Rabbit - Jefferson Airplane
6 - I Can See For Miles - Who
7 - Whiter Shade Of Pale - Procul Harum
8 - Groovin' - Young Rascals
9 - High Flying Bird - Richie Havens
10 - The Weight - The Band
11 - You Ain't Going Nowhere - Byrds
12 - Time Has Come Today - Chambers Brothers
13 - Little Help From My Friends - Joe Cocker
14 - Summertime Blues - Blue Cheer
15 - Nights In White Satin - Moody Blues
16 - Mendocino - Sir Douglas Quintet
17 - Get Together - Youngbloods
18 - My Uncle - Flying Burrito Brothers
19 - Something In The Air - Thunderclap Newman

I was actually looking for something else the day I bought that - it jumped out at me from the store display, and clung on so tightly I had to take it home!

:D :D :D

WOW!!!!

ThankX for listing all the tracks Vic.
That's a fantastic album.

I had no idea it was even available on disc.
Don't know why I thought that....?
Never seen it/Don't know anyone who's got it.

I'll be sure to track that one down though.

Is the Time Has Come Today the long long version????
You NEVER run across that anymore.
Kinda like the Guess Who's long version of No Time.... That solo was awsome!!!!

Sadly not, Ken - just the 3-mins odd single version. I believe the original clocked in at well over 10 minutes, but I've never heard it......

I just checked - surprised to find it's nearly five minutes long. And after a little bit of digging and a look at Amazon, I found out the same version's available on the CSI soundtrack. But that's not even in the same league, musically speaking, as Easy Rider - however, there are samples (of the CSI s/t) you can listen to.

And a little bit more digging - "Time Has Come Today" is also available, in the shortened form, on the "Girl, Interrupted" soundtrack. Wynona Ryder and Angelina Jolie starred in that, if my memory's working OK.

Re - OST - I had no idea it was even available on disc.

I've got it.....and it shouldn't be too hard to order. Either your local record shop, or Amazon or E-Bay.

Don't know if it's already mentioned, but what about 'Once upon a time in the west'? Made me buy an harmonica. :D

While we're on the subject of harmonica, a couple of film themes spring to mind; the theme from "Genevieve" and the theme from "Midnight Cowboy." And wasn't Nilsson's "Everybody's Talkin' At Me" from Midnight Cowboy?

OK, here's a question - roughly how many Vietnam war films has "The End" by The Doors featured in? Or to make it easier, how many Vietnam movies HAVEN'T the Doors featured in?

Anyone remember a sci-fi series a few years back called "Dark Skies?" One episode was written around a young film student called Jim Morrison - another was written around the Beatles and their first American tour. I seem to remember, though, the music was great - the series was set in the sixties, and the music reflected those times.

There's a British TV series called "Heartbeat" - set in Yorkshire in the 60's. That's worth watching just for the old sixties music - although there have been some major gaffes. One episode was set in 1966 - "Wild Thing" by the Troggs was number one in the charts, a couple of characters discussed the record. Then later on the hero - a policeman - was working undercover on a pirate radio ship as a DJ and played "the latest chart sensation!" - Dock of The Bay by Otis Redding, which wasn't a hit till '68!!!

:D :D :D
