This is one of the best versions I've heard him play. Great intro, his solo rocks, and his rhythm player does a completly different take on it, and plays a very incredible original solo. Is that a young Andy fairweather low? I don't think he started playing with clapton till the early 90's and it doesn't look like him, but I'm not sure.
Its amazing how simple yet effective that chord riff is. I Have no idea who that other guitarist could be.
At this time I would like to tell you that NO MATTER WHAT...IT IS WITH GOD. HE IS GRACIOUS AND MERCIFUL. HIS WAY IS IN LOVE, THROUGH WHICH WE ALL ARE. IT IS TRULY -- A LOVE SUPREME --. John Coltrane
Tim Renwick <I believe. Did a little looking around on the site, a commentor mentioned his name, searched for him on google, site said he played with Clapton...
My favorite part of his solo: 2:50-2:55
Other guys solo: 5:50- 5:55
Both play incredibly.
Another possibility would be George Terry.
He played with Clapton in the '70s
Those pickups are hot, hot, hot!

I don't think that EC ever played with particularly hot pickups - he does, howerver, have a 25dB mid-boost circuit built into his guitar.
I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

that 25 db mid boost plus noiseless pickups cut through your soul.

They most definitly do. Until I found out about that, I always wondered how he got such a fat tone out of a stratocaster. But yeah, that's the key to his tone...incredible. I'll post a few of my other favourite videos in a bit, although my true favorite isnt on you tube, it's from Live at Hyde Park, when he played Everyday, incredible job with it. Andy is on rhythm and he plays a kick..butt solo.
One day I'm going to buy that Clapton model strat in black, or the Buddy Guy custom model. Once I find a job!
