I'm like the youngest active member here, it seems.
Nope!
I'm 15, just turned 15 a few weeks ago on June 5th.
I live in Gander, Newfoundland, which a lot of people don't seem to realize is actually part of Canada
I play an Epiphone SG into a Digitech RP300 Multi-effects pedal into a Washburn acoustic guitar amp, unplugged I play an Oscar Schimdt acoustic-electric-fairly cheap but I like it.
And I've been playing a year and a half now.
But... four posts ago I said I was 13 =x
*hides in corner and silently sobs*
Oh, that's true, isn't it? You still have nicer gear than me

Ewan McGregor: I said, "Eve, I want you to look after my wedding ring while I'm away," and she started to cry and I said, "Eve. Eve, I can't wear my ring or I won't get laid on the trip!"

:D Thanks, but I said this somewhere, that these guys are my buddies. I'll probably never get another amp or get another guitar better than my Roxanne
Because they are BFF forever xD
Hello everyone...
I live in central Connecticut. Currently 34 years old and loving every 5 minutes I can find to pick up a guitar and play for 10 minutes without my two-year old walking up and twisting one of the tuning keys.
Gear:
Gibson SG
Fender Lite Ash Telecaster
Fender FMT Telecaster Custom
ESP EC400 Goldtop
Hamer Standard
Washburn G10V "Beer Guitar"
Squier '51 "Guinness Guitar"
Takamine G-Series Acoustic
Behringer Blue Devil Amplifier
Roland Cube-15
Zoom G2.1u Multi-FX processor
I've been playing for about 5 years (yes, the 30-year-old call to youthful glory). I wish I started playing when I was 15 instead of the saxophone that lasted 3 weeks.

Been playing four years, Wifey noted my need for a guitar and bought me one for Xmas, I love it!! Oh! and her too.
Did try when I was 18 for about six months. Bought a basic right handed guitar then (Cost £7 nearly weeks wages for an appretice engineer then 1970) and a Bert Weedon "play guitar in seven days" tutor book. I'm so hopelessly left handed I didn't stand a chance then. I was so disolusioned I never even considered swapping the strings over, didn't think you could! Also, I thought you had to be able to read proper music notation then to be able to play.
Good job I found GN when I started again over 30 years later.
After reading all prevoius posts on this subject I think I need to contract a dose of serious GAS just to be in the ball park with you guys including my brother Rodders!
Chris
The guitar is all right John but you'll never make a living out of it! (John Lennon's Aunt Mimi)

Trust me, when you're young, you want to be older and when you're older, you want to be younger.
Stay young!
Oooh, I wish I could be 24 - fast foward with degree done and doing job...But lol, I have to first study to get there.
It seems like you are in the reverse category, Mike.
Recently, I was checking out my old school certificates and got some tears as I wondered how small I was when I was in K.G. (5 years old).
It seems like you are in the reverse category, Mike.
I'm in the middle. I should write this now because I only have a little over 2 weeks before I turn 30. So yeah.........

17 and almost 3/4
Been playing since I was 12, at some times with much less enthusium then the past 2 years.
I live in the Capital District Area of New York
I play either a Heavy modded Samick Strat, a Squier 51' or a Silvertone Apocolypse Pro into either a Epiphone Valve Special or a Behringer GMX212. I also have a Yamaha Strat (Looking to replace with a Seagull Original S6) and a Dunlop Crybaby Classic.
I also have some other gear for sale, in the swap meet *cough* I need money *cough* :D
Who needs a signature?
I mean really...
It's almost always lyrics...
or a cliche...
or garbage about me...
Lets just save YOU from the pain, ok?
I turned fifty last December
I started with a Yamaki Custom Western (acoustic re-strung to be left handed) in 1973 and last October got a Gibson J-45
Including a hiatus of twelve years of not playing 34 years although what I gained in that time period doesn't compare with what I have learned from this website - it's been a quantum leap in the past nine months. The brainpower and generosity on this site is outstanding
