just looking for any opinions on this type of guitar. is it much different than playing a regular acoustic

different timbre than a regular steel string acoustic: Gypsy guitars have stronger, thumpier attack, fast decay and little sustain. I think they sound more like archtops than flattops.

No experience with them, but I think they're cool looking. I'd expect the ones with the little oval soundholes to have a deeper resonance than the ones with the big "D" soundholes.
