Johnny Winter is playing at a teeny, tiny bar in my town in March. Needless to say, I'd love to see him where you can pretty much lean up against his amp and listen to 30+years of blues guitar experience just flow out at you. Sucker sold out! I should have bought tickets when the show was announced. My teacher and I were supposed to go. Man, I could kick myself.

(So Wes, I'm right there with you as far as your BB King episode goes!)

Buy your tickets (far) in advance!

If it really is a tiny place I'm quite confident that there are plenty of ways to get in.

MAtty,

My buddy saw him last weekend at Toad's Place in New Haven CT...said they basically carried him out and sat him up in a chair..he played what my friend said was only about 8-10 songs and then they carried him off stage.

Procastinating has become a bad habit of mine too. It's really hard to beat it and it's winning so far. I find it after procatinating for this long it has become part of my routine for work. :?

Evolution,
When something becomes this bad, you really need to sit down and think about it for a while

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

I heard the same, but I also read in a review that once the guitar was in his hands he played pretty well. I dunno, I'm betting the age is catching up but I'd still like to see him. He's a legend.

Winter is barely 60, what's wrong with him to the point where he has to be carried on and off stage? I really haven't heard anything before now.
