Looking good Steve-O :)
One could spend a lot of time on their page...LOL
One thing that is wise is to set it up with the "FRIENDS" only setting.
Cuts down on the spam. I'm not out there too much anymore, to many freaks, but its cool for linking with family and cousins since we've all moved so far away from each other over the years.

No kidding about the freaks... the Internet provides the anonymous playground that let's people be wacky with little or no repercussions... I travelled around myspace for about 20 minuts and saw some freaky stuff... Glad my kids are still only 4 and 2 !!!!

:) Keep working at it Dali Lima, you'll get the hang of it.
Check out http://www.htmlgoodies.com/primers/html/article.php/3478131 to start working with HTML, it's really easy, not unlike the BBCode found here on the forum.
Cheers.

Rahul,
I was concerned about uploading covers so I sent myspace a message
You can upload covers as long as it does not contain any of the original recording in it see below:
Hello,
You can upload a cover song as long as it does not include any of the original recording.
Thanks!

Not wanting to infringe on anybodys copyright, what is the
MySpace position with regard to uploading my own version of
another artists song (i.e. a cover) ? There does not appear to
be a facility to give the original artist the due credit.
Thanks

Guys if you go by this, or posting covers anywhere without purchasing a mechanical license for the song, you're violating copyright.
The position myspace or anyone else has towards posting covers is irrelevant. The response from myspace here is one that shows whoever made that call has poor understanding of copyright, and has voiced a policy that could legally justify the site being shut down, and could leave the company liable for some pretty hefty fines.
Here's a link that discusses the copyright issues in pretty clear language:

Here's the home page for the same site. It discusses all kinds of the legal issues around music, plus ways for bands to protect themselves from unscrupulous bar owners, "fly-by-night" labels, and anyone else that might see you as someone that's an easy mark for a scam.

Playing guitar and never playing for others is like studying medicine and never working in a clinic.

I know we've discussed this before, but I'm not sure you are correct. If you are I don't understand how sites like YouTube and mySpace would still be in operation. We are not talking about relatively small guitar-tab sites here, we are talking about two HUGE websites that are constantly in the news. I would think that if there were copyright infringements worthy of pursuing they would have occured by now.
I did read the posting on the website that you referenced, and while it is clear I don't know that I would view this website as gospel. What the is the "Music Law Website"? Who runs that site? It looks like a random website, not one run by the music industry.
