Ok people... as you've seen in the Swap Meet, I'm selling my Gibson SG because I could never bond with it (after repeated attempts). I also have a sweet Schecter C1+ that I'll be selling to probably finance the purchase of a "pre-owned" Gibson Les Paul Classic. The Classic is the best LP in my opinion because it gives you the carved top, slim-tapered 60's neck profile (less chunky than the SG and the LP standard) bound body and neck, green crown inlays, and 500T/496R pickups (the best Gibson pups, in my opinion) and costs $500 less than a Standard! All this adds up to a great value for a Gibson workhorse.
As such, there are some options for colors... I (again) leave my fate up to the Guitar Noise community! I'm sorta partial to the goldtop, but let's see what everyone here thinks is the best!
Plus, let's face it - we all like looking at guitars, right?
Picture samples below:
#1, Goldtop
#6, Light Burst

I've always liked the brown one .... I own 2 black Les Pauls and have a GoldTop copy ...... I used to own an amber burst Les Paul .... hmmmmmm

All are nice choices, you can't go wrong. I prefer the brown too. I own a Classic Antique and it has Classic 57 pickups, which are VERY nice - if you don't like the sounds you are getting from it, try these pickups.
I really like the Light Burst! :D

I'd go black followed VERY closely by the brown one.
I think the heritage cherry looks cool.

I think the heritage cherry looks cool.

That would be my 2nd choice!

I cast a vote for the Antique Brown, but the Heritage Cherry would run a very close second for me. I also like the Tobacco Sunburst which is similar to the Antique Brown.
I went Crimson, although I swear they look better in person. Maybe?

I went for Crimson, too. I suspect it doesn't reproduce well in web colors.
"A cheerful heart is good medicine."
Seems like Crimson is very similar to cherry on Musician's Friend, no?
I had to go with the Goldtop.... I've always been a Goldtop guy - (Pref. a '55 with a wraparound stop tailpiece & soapbars)
My second choice is the Light Burst. That's very sharp.

Immature? Of course I'm immature Einstein, I'm 50 and in a Rock and ROll band.

I have a Cherry Custom LP. So I tend to lean thataway. BUT...I really like the Black and the Crimson. Get 2 of them...why not? BTW..I voted Crimson..( at the end of the day..I always migrate towards the fall colors. Dunno why)
