I'm 48 and want to start something up with area musicians. Classic rock with a dash of power pop. Looking to gig 4 - 6 weeks. Not wanting to change the world, but would like to give that impression during the gigs.
1st step is to seek like-minded musicians and build from there. Starting with folks I have been with in the past and hoping to network out from there. I've never been the pesty, persistent type but I may have to be in order to get people. Rome wasn't built in a day, but I have a goal of July '09 for opening engagement.
There are lots more particulars, but probably irrelevant to this post.
Has anyone gone this route? Any suggestions? I think my biggest hurdle is to get people.
