I have a couple of these. really like them. They are comfortable and the suede seems to stop them from sliding around. No nylon straps for me. These are also sort of cool and laid back looking http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Levys-Soft-Suede-Guitar-Strap?sku=360547

I have 2 of those same straps like Robbie is describing. I really like them a lot, too.

Levy's straps span a fair range of quality. I have several, including one similar to those in Robbie's link. That particular one is very comfortable; I have it on my heaviest guitar.

OTOH, the Levy's straps shown in Hilch's link look like the absolute cheapest leathers in the Levy's line. I have one of those (sans monogram), and it's not too impressive. IMO, something such as that is way overpriced at $49.99, even with the monogram.

lol I got tired of having straps wear out and so one day in a rather angry and inspirated moment I made my current strap, out of duck tape. I haven't had any strap issues since. 8)

All the straps I use are handmade ItaliaStraps. They take a LONG time to get (about 3 weeks) but the quality is excellent and are much cheaper than the same quality Levy Strap.

Nice :D 8) Those "leather-like ends", Nick - are they at all liable to split, and dump one's vintage Strat on a concrete floor  ?

Another bid here for the Italia straps.

They'll do custom lengths for you as well, for a bit extra. Which is nice for us tall fat people :)
