Man, I'm bummed. No Who show for me, and they're on a very short list of acts I have not, but want to see.

Imagine what Pink Floyd would charge if they toured again?!? Ouch!

I saw the Who on their "last tour" (1982). It was pricy - but it pales in comparison to what they're getting now.

I'd say those tickets were WAY overpriced - like RParker, I'd love to see them, but I wouldn't fork out over £200 for a ticket - I could see half a dozen good concerts for that kind of money. Bear in mind, also, it wouldn't really be the Who without Moonie and the Ox - at least Plant and Page had the good grace to go on the road as "Plant and Page" and not as Led Zeppelin.....could you imagine Paul and Ringo on tour as "The Beatles" without George and John?

:D :D :D

Pete and Roger were awesome when I saw them, both times actually, just amazing. The drummer plays the same as Keith did, and the basslines still kick-ass. As much as I'd love to have Entwisle and Moon playing, I know that they are names, and their 'replacements' are doing one hell of a job.

I don't know. I spent $185 for 1 Stones ticket and have no regrets. The Who, Stones, Cream..they're legends and they're worth it.

Ouch!!!

Can't believe the price of some of these tickets. Seems difficult to justify to me when you can get a three day festival ticket for the same or less.

Saw The Who at the IOW Festival three years ago - they were awesome - but for my hundred pound ticket I also got to see Bowie, Manics, Stereophonics, Steve Harley, Suzanne Vega, Snow Patrol, and many more. That's value for money.

I seem to strike lucky I guess. Saw the Stones a few weeks ago at Twickenham - cost me £50. A very fair price I thought.

As much as I'd like to see The Who again I won't be paying those sort of prices.

Seriously though, haven't looked at that thread for some time.

Note to self: Must try harder. :)

I have not missed a Detroit Who concert since '70.
I'm going again on the 29th.
Half way back on the main floor....about $100. The best seats were about $250.
Still a great show. But the new bass player needs to crank it up this time around.
The pic is from my first concert.

No, it ends in October - clever, these Germans!

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

I saw the Stones back in 78 for $12.50 and that was with Journey and Peter Tosh also :D ( Not to mention South Side Johnny) . I wouldn't spend $600 to see the Beatles ..even with George and John brought back to life for the occasion  )

It kind of went full circle for me, first Stones concert in 72 $4.50 a ticket, stones concert last year $450.00 a ticket. What's a decimal place amongst friends? It just depends on how much you like a particular band I guess and how much disposable cash you have. I've never ben a Who fan, so I'd probably pass if the tickets were $2.50 instead of $250

Immature? Of course I'm immature Einstein, I'm 50 and in a Rock and ROll band.
