I look at it as a little satire also.
But I was glad to see that Pete Townshend did not make the list.

I guess it depends on who the writer's heard of - notice there's no mention of Les Paul, Brian May, Carlos Santana, Hank Marvin etc... Those guys have been around a long time too - like Pete.

So, a big "Yah boo sucks" and a "get a life" to the writer.

Ten Guitar writers who ought to hang up their felt tip pen, anyone? Let me start it off with

1 - Bob Gulla
2

"Be good at what you can do" - Fingerbanger"
I have always felt that it is better to do what is beautiful than what is 'right'" - Eliot Fisk

Santana made the cut, check again.
7. Carlos Santana After hearing them everywhere for what seems like a lifetime, the hideous duets on Santana's Supernatural and Shaman albums have become the musical equivalent of dinner at Taco Bell. You can get it down OK, but sooner or later it ends up, well-you know where it ends up.
i fully agree with Wes

I honestly had no idea that Dave Navarro was a guitarist. No kidding. I knew him from being married to Carmen (a pretty nice accomplishment I must say) and knew that he was a musician, but I always assumed he was a singer for some reason. I didn't even know what bands he was in until I just looked him up.

I've never even heard of Mushok, and I seriously thought that Ted Nugent stopped performing long ago. I also thought Dick Dale had died for some reason.

I must be really out of it.

Doesn't he have his own "Cafe" or restaurant, whatever, that he owns and plays at. Not a bad gig if you ask me.

I think he came out with a liquor product too that he likes to promote. Some beach type drink. Can't remember……

Blasphemy!

Greybeard, I never looked at it that way. People always say that about the bands I love. I saw the Who, and mentioned it to some 35 year old, and he goes "What are they, 60 years old now". And yeah, they are, but as I told him, many called the concert I went to their best ever.

I still don't understand how playing an instrument longer, makes you less great of a guitar player.

All the musicians I love, (Billy Joel/Elton John for example) have IMPROVED with age.

You might be thinking of Sammy Hagar. He has a cafe in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and a tequila product called Cabo Wabo. He also has a band called the Waboritas.

I think Eddie is too busy drinking the liquor to come up with a product of his own.

Treat others how you would like to be treated.
