Yea I was into Zappa backint he 70's but I always considered him kind of a novelty act...looking back I don't think that was really the case but at the time he seemed like the 70's version of Weird Al without the parodies.
Always had weird goofy lyrics etc. it was hard to take hm seriously, but he could play.
