Going to have to dig out the faded denims, practise air guitar and headbanging with legs akimbo.....'cause I've just ordered VIP tickets for Status Quo at the Big Top Arena in Liverpool....
And to cheer the poorly invalid up - Marilyn - got VIP tickets for Meat Loaf as well....same venue, 5 days earlier....

"Sometimes the beauty of music can help us all find strength to deal with all the curves life can throw us." (D. Hodge.)
Lately, I've been listening to a lot of:
Jerry Cantrell - Boggy Depot. Especially his songs; Devil By His Side, Hurt A Long Time, and Between.
Collective Soul - Youth. Their new CD.
Neil Diamond - The Essential Neil Diamond.
The song, All the Girls Love Alice, by Elton John from Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. Alice Cooper played this song on his syndicated late evening radio show "Nights with Alice Cooper", which is carried by 98.9 KKFM here in Colorado. So, I heard it and went home and downloaded it off of iTunes. God, it's a good song.
And the song, Halloween Americana by Everclear from their CD “Songs From An American Movie, Part 2â€.
I've got a lot of good ideas. Trouble is... most of them suck!
hmmmmm...
Wir sind Helden

What is the definition of an unpopular Hendrix cut?
Immature? Of course I'm immature Einstein, I'm 50 and in a Rock and ROll band.
New Band site http://www.myspace.com/guidedbymonkeys
What I meant was less popular than his major hits like Hey Joe, Purple Haze, The Wind Cries Mary, All Along the Watchtower, etc.
I'm listen to stuff like If 6 was 9, Third Stone From the Sun, stuff like that. 8)

Best of CCR
John Lee Hooker – Serves You Right to Suffer
SRV – The Sky Is Crying (Life by the Drop is on now, my favorite!)
Dave Matthews – Live with Tim Reynolds (EXCELLENT combination!!!!!!!!!!!)
Going to see DMB this Saturday (18th)!!!!!!!! :D :D :D
Pretty good list there, Tracker....CCR and Fogerty are never far from my stereo (in fact "Deja Vu All Over Again" is paying as I type....)
SRV, I've discovered since I joined guitarnoise....
Dave Matthews, I know very little about, but quite a few people have mentioned him....about 99% of them have nice things to say.....so where's agood starting point? What sort of music does he play? Recommended tracks?.....anyway, enjoy the gig mate!!!!

He is considered Alternative but, I don't really think I would call him that.
Anyway, hmmmmm…. Good starting point? I would have to say, Under the Table and Dreaming and Crash are the first two so…. I guess that would be a good starting point.
One of my fav's from him is, Long Black Vail originally by Johnny Cash (I Think he was the original). Dave's backup vocalists will put chills down your spine.
My wife just me this link to give to you, DMBand.com. Numer 17 on that page is Long Black Vail. Give that a listen. It's not the whole song but, hey...it will give you an idea.
Just click on the album cover and than sample any song.
They also have the whole "America Baby" song (off the latest cd) on the Taylor website. I'll have to go dig it up for you.
Go to this one. Go to 14. Stream. That my friend is Tim Reynolds and he's just warming up by the time that clip ends!!! Dave left the stage for that song.
My wife and I have EVERY CD. She loves it and I can't blame her!!!
:D :D :D
