I just picked up Iron Maiden's Number of the Beast, and there is some really impressive bass playing in there! I mean, most people are aware of the great guitar playing but I'm finding the bass parts as good, if not better then the harmonised guitar parts.
I also picked up some cheap classical music cds, it's interesting to compare how the classical guitars and violins sound on that recording compared to my playing
Steve-0
Biohazard-Urban Discipline
-State Of The World Address
-No Holds Barred
In Flames-The Tokyo Showdown

"Sometimes the beauty of music can help us all find strength to deal with all the curves life can throw us." (D. Hodge.)
Iv'e got "All Things Must Pass" On Vinyl too Vic.
Its pretty near a mint copy as I only played it about ten times years ago when I bought it in 1970. I've treasured it ever since. The Apple Jam third disc only got played once I think, just couldn't get into it then.
Haven't got a turntable these days But saw it on CD last year remastered and bought it. Glad I did! Forgotten how brilliant George was then. Stangely for a CD its treasured just as much.
Imagine the result if the other Beatles had let him add those songs to their final albums, their loss!!.
But then there wouldn't have been All Things Must Pass" I suppose.
I particularly liked his new bonus track arrangement of "My Sweet Lord" with Sam Brown on vocals for the re-issue.
Original standout tracks are for me anyway:
My Sweet Lord
Isn't It A Pity
Beware Of The Darkness
Behind That Locked Door
Takes you right back eh!
Chris
The guitar is all right John but you'll never make a living out of it! (John Lennon's Aunt Mimi)
