Merry Christmas all, hope everybody got what they wanted! Thought it might be good to start a single thread on what everybody got.
I am writing from Greensboro, N.C., came down to visit my folks and having a great time. I got lots of nice presents. My younger brother who has been playing guitar as long as me gave me one of these:
I didn't have the heart to tell my brother that I have an old MK505 II, and a Zoom GFX-1. But know what?? This is a pretty good multi-efx. I just spent the last few hours jamming with him and this thing has some excellent models of tones like Eric Clapton's Crossroads tone, or Eddie Van Halens brown tone. This pedal is absolutely quiet too. I also used the built in drum machine as we jammed. So, I've got pedals up the wazoo, but I am very happy with this new toy and think I can really put it to use recording.
So, that was my very unexpected guitar related gift, what did everybody out there get??
If you know something better than Rock and Roll, I'd like to hear it - Jerry Lee Lewis
Hey Wes,
I knew somebody would ask this question sooner or later.
Somebody must of mistakenly put me on the nice list this year.
I got a Behringer V-Amp 2 and a Fender chorus pedal both of which
I've been having a great deal of fun with. I also got a couple
sets of strings and some picks. (all in the proper gauges}
On top of that was the Eric Clapton Crossroads Festival DVD an MP3 player
and a cool hooded sweat shirt with The Beatles crossing Abbey Road on the front. 8)
My family must have finally figured out what makes the Old Man happy.
And what did I figure out?
Diamonds really are a girls best friend.

I thought it was my own
I could feel it in my heartbeat
I could feel it in my bones
... Blame it on the love of Rock'n'Roll! "
Happy holidays to everyone!
My wonderful wife gave me a Fender custom shop guitar calendar, a "365 tips for guitar" one-a-day calendar, and a Metal Muff pedal. Let me tell you, the Metal Muff is the QUIETEST high-gain pedal I've ever played. Wow. Great pedal.

The only thing that I got that was guitar related was a TASCAM CD-GT1 with foot pedal. Very nice.
I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.

happy new year soon all.

Doesn't winter up north really suck?
I guess it would if you didn't like cold weather and snow. But if you don't mind, or actually some people enjoy it, winter up north is wonderful. Ice skating outside on a frozen pond, skiing and snow shoeing are just some of the things that are tough, if not impossible to do in the southern US states.
An Epi Valve Junior. :D
