Mine was a Ramírez. It was a present from my father 25 or 30 years ago. He bought it in the Ramírez store, in the center of my city.

I'm jealous - will he buy one for me too?

LOL!

It is a student model. And I'm a perfect donkey. I didn't know what kind of instrument was when he gave me the guitar. Recently, some months ago, I was asking for a setup and also some minor repairs in the Ramírez store but it could be very expensive. Currently I don't play that guitar.

Alan, the next time you come here, we will go together to Ramírez. I don't know if you already visit the store, they are very kindly people. The store is awesome.

My first guitar was a Fender P Bass. But I guess that doesn't count 100%

My first six string was an Epiphone Flat-Top Acoustic made in Japan - unknown model from a pawn shop.

My first Electric 6 string was a Gibson ES-330, which I still own.

Last time I was in Madrid I went to Manuel Contreras's shop and played some very nice guitars, but didn't make it to Ramirez so you've got a deal.

I still have my first guitar. It was an acoustic made by Suzuki - a model Three S, that I bought at 8th Street Music in Philadelphia during my senior yer of college- 1979 to be exact. I don't even think Suzuki makes guitars anymore.

It sat in my attic for most of the time I have owned it- from about 1980 until four years ago when I finally decided to get serious and learn how to play the thing. Actuially, the guitar still plays and sounds pretty good despite the abusive storage conditions. It developed a small crack where the neck joins the body, and I had a local guy set it up for me when I pulled it out of the attic four years ago. About the crack-he said just put extra light strings on it so as to minimize the tension.

I currently keep the guitar on a stand in the den next to the sofa, where I can reach it real easy like whenever I get the urge to pick it up. It's not muy main guitar anymore but it sure comes in handy.

Regards,

Mike

My first was a 1962 White SG, bought it in 72 for $175. The guy I bought it from had tried to refinish it, and boogered it up so it was butt ugly, but man that thing sounded unbelievable.
First wife's lawyer made me sell it as part of the divorce settlement

Immature? Of course I'm immature Einstein, I'm 50 and in a Rock and ROll band.
