So.... What are you doing on the first of the holidays? We had our thanksgiving dinner a day early since we both work on thanksgiving. Had a nice time with my sisters family, and a nice dinner. I'm watching Beatles videos on you-tube at this moment with a nice glass of California sauvignon 8) Best wishes for all you guys and gals and a happy holiday season!!

We're going to my brother's house just South of Madison tomorrow for a family dinner. It's about 30 miles from my house, so not too far to travel, which is good, because it just started snowing here about an hour ago.

Everyone have a safe & Happy Thanksgiving! :D

With our families spread out across the US, we usually have friends over for Thanskgiving... but not this year. We are doing something different. My wife says the kids don't really like the traditional turkey, mash taters, cranberry sauce, etc... and she & I get worn out from cooking and entertaining... and we tire of leftovers. So what are we doing? We are going out for a nice Italian meal. :D

No fuss, no muss, no dirty dishes to do. 8)

Just got back from singing in a combined choir at a community Thanksgiving service. Great fun!

Hum, lets see.

I am working on four essays that need to be done by Sunday. Thinking that I am just going to blow them off at this point beccause I dont think its do-able. Considered calling smokindog about an hour ago but since he is eastern I talked myself out of it. Enjoying rum and diet coke for the first time in my life. Hooked my amp up to my Schecter and practiced a while. Then hooked it up to my ovation and scared the dogs to his wits end. Watched a bit of TV and now looking for something else to do.

Jim

Tomorrow, comes the FEAST and now that I am on an insulin pump, I cannot WAIT!!!!!

'don't let it bring you down...' this is a rough season for me. I have had too many family members die around this time. t day and christmas will never be the same.
today, after I log off, I am visiting my close friend and her teenager son. he and I are close. I bought him a bass guitar and amp for his birthday last month. he is a talented guy. plays killer drums. his teacher of the school band wants him to play bass now. hence the b day gift.
we plan to jam a bit today, and eat some good food. then it is back home to work with my recording program and learn a few things. on friday, my best friend is driving into town. we are going to record and then go out and check out some bands or maybe stay in , crank up the amps and make some great noise.
cheers all. .

Just hanging out at home with the family. i'll soon cook a turkey. Catching up on some work and learning the new set for the band -- eighteen or so completely new songs for us.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I wish I could have Thanksgiving with you. I'm like your wife and kids, I don't really dig turkey and all the trimmings. I'd much rather have Italian food. Or even BBQ. Oh well.

This morning I opened the canned ham my wife had pulled the handle off of (and broke the knife she'd bent prying it, as I tried to straighten it out.) It's in the crock pot cooking slowly. (The ham, not the broken knife.)

Got a bit of down time before the kids come in the late afternoon. Might run out to the range and send a little lead flying.

Here in the south many folks have the turkey BBQ'd at their favorite BBQ restaurant and
