Get over it. The WORST guitar solo ever is the one I just played.
(Literal truth. :( )
But it isn't always.

The worst solo is one that Slash played. He was playing the solo to a cover of a really great song, but totally destroyed it - in fact, it was so bad that my brain has blocked out the name of the tune. All I have is the image of Slash "playing" in total silence - my mind is far too sensitive to allow that satanic cacophony assault my synapses.
I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

Cmon GB, the solo on 'November Rain' is far too awesome to be classified anything but worst...
Anything by Jack White.
dylan's live solos occasionally get so bad they should be taken out and shot. i've heard a recording of a doped up jimmy page screwing up stairway pretty bad.

couldn't disagree more. even the ones i hate are original, which is tough to pull off in blues rock.
I find it hard to choose the worst. I've heard solos that are just pure noise but that was the artist's intention and they fit the song too. I can think of a lot of solos I don't like but none that I would classify as bad.

Anything by Lil Wayne. 'Nuff said.

Indeed.
My favourite intentionally bad solo is "Cover of the Rolling Stone".
I want to be able to play that some day.
