Pink Floyd - ...Shine On You Crazy Diamond
How do you manage that?
Got this from guitartabs.ccSONG: Shine on you crazy diamond
ARTIST: Pink Floyd/David Gilmour
This is sort of tabbed from the 2001 show David Gilmour did in the
royal albert hall. Since all the other tabs are for the lead guitar
I'd thought I'd do one for strumming and singing.
-FADE IN/KEYBOARD SOLO:
On the 'Albert Hall concert' David Gilmour used a heavily amplifyed
chorus pedal, a volume pedal and and pitchshifter set to G minor
for this bit. If you want to just finger pick this chord while
the keyboard solos.
G minor: e|-3 G minor barre: e|-3
B|-3 B|-3
G|-0 G|-3
D|-0 D|-5
A|-1 A|-5
E|-3 E|-3
-1ST GUITAR SOLO:
These are just the chords that the keyboard plays.
The order is tabbed from the live version on 'Pulse'. I don't
know if it's the same as on the 'Wish You Were Here'.
Gm, Dm, Cm, Gm, Dm, Cm, Dm, Gm
C minor D minor
e|-3 e|-1
B|-4 B|-3
G|-5 G|-2
D|-5 D|-0
A|-3 A|--
E|-- E|--
-4 NOTE SEQUENCE STARTS:
This is how Gilmour plays it on the 'Albert Hall concert'.
Repeat the first bit a few times. The first line represents
where the floor toms would start on the record and the second
line where the whole band would come in.
C major C major
e|---------0--|-----------|-0--0-0-0----------0--0-0-0--|
B|---6--------|-----6-----|-1--1-1-1----6-----1--1-1-1--|

E|-1-1-1-1-1-1-1/3--3--3-3-3-----------------------------------------|
The rest just repeats. You should be able to work out order of the
solo chords they're just the same ones, Gminor, Cmaj, Fmaj, D#maj,
Dmaj, but arranged differently. In the part of the solo that is an
instrumental of the "You were caught in the crossfire..." bit the
chords are as follows I think.
e|-3 e|-3 e|-3 e|-0 | e|-4 e|-5 e|-6 e|-1 e|-2
B|-3 B|-3 B|-3 B|-1 | B|-4 B|-5 B|-6 B|-3 B|-1
G|-3 G|-3 G|-3 G|-0 | G|-4 G|-6 G|-7 G|-2 G|-2

Just strum these chords along with the solo.

what about jewel - hands
i know i'm sellin out here but i like those tunes
Minus Human
IMO...it's not selling out if you enjoy playing it. Besides, when I become rich and famous  then I'll start being more picky.
Eric Clapton- Layla
The Band- The Weight
Dispatch- General
Eagles- Hotel California
Led Zepplin- Over the Hills and Far Away
Why *are* there so many songs about rainbows?
The Band- The Weight
That's a great song. My brother and I used to play that one nearly everytime we got together.
Our songs also have the standard pop format: Verse, chorus, verse, chorus, solo, bad solo. All in all, I think we sound like The Knack and the Bay City Rollers being molested by Black Flag and Black Sabbath.
Kurt Cobain
