Bought this one the other day and have done the first three pages or so. Wow! Works out both your fretting and picking hand. Spiral bound, so it sits on a music stand pretty good, has both notes and TAB, and there is a whole series of these books covering various topics/genres. This one is called Technique:

Highly recommended.

(Now that I think about it, I'm sure not just beginners would benefit)

:D

Learning requires a willingness to be bad at something for awhile.

You know what I have learned ? That almost any book is good to start. Because, if it is not that good and you keep on studying, you will see it over time and understand things for yourself. If you don't continue to study and play, then it won't make any difference. Right?
