Okay so I'm kind of a pet project for someone on youtube as far as singing lessons go, and here is the result after one "lesson" really just kind of explaining how vocal chords are working and watching some vocal chord videos and having me feel what's going on when I make noises.

Video starts at about 1:37, the rest is just me talking about the singing tips and lessons. Any tips would be beneficial.

Thanks guys!!!

Hey Joe
Great to hear something from you :). I enjoyed it! There's definitely a voice there... I don't think you've found it yet but you're definitely better from your past videos! There are times that you sound a bit off the note, but I think with some more practice you'll be a good singer.

In the way of advice... Keep doing what your doing! Pay attention to yourself when its not comfortable, when you sound off... try and work out why! But keep on singing :D.

Love your Final Fantasy arrangements btw... brings back fond memories of when I had time to play video games ;)

Thanks! Once I get the guitar parts down, I've been taking a couple days and working out the vocals, hopefully I'll be able to get it without trying too hard in time.

well done Joe. you sure talk a lot.
the singing is pretty good. lots of potential. I like your methodology.
if you persue singing as you have guitar playing you will be way ahead of any of us in no time at all.

Joe,
OK, enough of the crotch shot (90 seconds is MORE than enough) . . . and the blabbing . . .
get on with it!

Starts off good.
Good substance to your voice.
Train it and we are all in for a real treat.

And I echo what dogbite said . . . attack this . . . like you did with the guitar and . . .
watch out Garth Brooks!

It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.

Yeah, sorry about that LOL.

I guess the great thing and what I'm excited about, is while I'm not good by any means...I think I know what I have to do now to correct it, and am finally hearing when it's wrong. I wasn't able to do that for a while.
