when im trying to learn a song....what should be the effective practice technique??? plz comment

The best advice I can give you is to break the song down into small pieces and work on them until you can play them cold then move onto the next.

When you hit a part that's difficult slow it waaaay down and don't increase the speed until you can do it flawlessly slowly.

Let's say the difficult part comes at the beginning of the first verse after a short intro which you can play well. When you practice this part don't go back and start form the beginning of the intro (you already know how to play that) just start maybe a note or two before the trouble spot. This way you will give that section the most amount of your practice time.
