So the song is called Bones & Jones by Finger Eleven, an excellent tune. This is my acoustic interpretation... its probably about my 20th take!! I learned all the guitar and vocals in one night... til about 2 AM... this is my best take (so far).
The bridge of this song has a high range in headvoice but I can't pull it off yet so I took it down... sucky. Also, my falsetto is a little... cringe worthy. Any advice on that bit would be much appreciated! (that part starts at 1:48 of the song).
Would you enjoy this song if you were sitting at an open mic night?
I am very thankful of anyone that takes the time to listen to this and give me tips on how to improve my performance.

There is a little 'Play Song' icon on the right hand side of the page.
Thanks again!
First thing that hit me is the tone of your voice, its good, if a little unoriginal... sounds a little restrained, especially when you get a bit more agressive, maybe a placement issue? And the falsetto does sound a little strained, is your larynx rising up? Try and keep it at a steady position... Other than that... its very good¬
I would be more than happy to here this at an open mike, I've heard (and played) much worse performances than this lol, I would recommend you do it, as it will give you some good input.
Keep on singing,
Nath.
Btw... sorry if I sound harsh, just trying to give you some constructive criticism :)
Thanks nathan... dont think you sound harsh at all. I need to hear from someone, rather be you over the internet than someone in the same room as me! As I said, this was my 20th take, my voice was strained in general. I had other takes that were more impressive techincally, but lacked emotional touch... so i kept going until I had one that was somewhere in the middle.
I know what you mean by unoriginal, and strained... Im working on that. Thanks for all your input, really helpful.
Yes, very good pitch and tone. I didn't like the falsetto, however, and I think you should simply rearrange the song so that you don't have to go into falsetto.
You sing very well! 8)
