I was going to learn a fingerstyle song that was by Uli Boegershausen, but this tuning I've never heard of, how do you tune your D string to G, or the G string to D for example. When I listen to it it doesn't sound like it's in a weird tuning.
It just seems wierd.

He probably substituted a G string for the D and a B for the G.
I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
