last friday the recorder was running at our regular jam. I was noodling a bit and a few players joined in. I edited the song from the hour and a half recording; it has an abrupt end.
urehearsed. epiphone zephyr lap steel, les paul. and an old console organ.
here is the link to my soundclick page. look for the song 'slideblues'.
I think the link works this way.

I need to add the song ID number, but I cannot get into the page because I don't have my ID and password with me.
so I will try to fix this later.
so sorry.

Ahhh, that hit the spot!

Should've brought my lap steel this morning, but I didn't. I'd've joined in. Kinda like all the dogs howling in the neighborhood, it would've been.

I have a question. the link I provided one has to sign in etc. I have to as well. what a pain.
how do you guys, when you post a song, have it showing only the song...or the image of the recorder with the stop, play, rewind etc buttons. you know the image I mean.
what is the secret?

I don't know if it is made for people in SoundClick, I think is in MySpace, I don't remember.

Anyway, you can do it following the next steps:

  • 1. Use the mouse right button and select the option 'Copy link' over the 'lo-fi' or 'hi-fi' song. In this case, we get using the hi-fi option:

    javascript:Player('../player/single_player.cfm?songid=5267598&q=hi');

    2. Compose the route from 'player' with the main site url. We get:

    http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=5267598&q=hi

    3. Copy the link in the text:
    http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=5267598&q=hi

    4. Done ;)

  • PS. Did you upload a new song? I'm hearing it now.

slickcat. that tune was using my old 1940 Epiphone lap steel. I have since got a 36 Rickenbacher lap steel. it has a horseshoe magnet.
what a world of difference. the horseshoe really balances out the high and low strings.
I have a sound test posted on my music site.
click on the blue line below and then lick on music. scroll down to Rickenbacher test.
another slide tune is called Goingdown. that one uses a backing track and the ricky.

    I love tone.
