Can you play the same songs on a Dobro and Lap Steel, as long as the tuning is the same. I know the scale length is different, does that cause a lot of problems that can't be solved or is it possible? Do they sound close to the same or way different? Thanks!!

Yes, you can play them the same. They won't sound quite the same.
