I play mostly flamenco guitar and
lately I've been searching for a guitar for blues
playing with bottleneck too.
It seems the resonator is the most bluesy sounding
guitar. problem is in my area there are only square
neck resonators/dobros.

Can I modify a Square to play like round neck. guitar
style - just by lowering the action on it ? can you
detail all the process ? Do I have other modifications
to do ?

thanks in advance.

Won't work. The square necks are awkward to reach around to play bottleneck, and can't be practically modified to a roundneck.

Do like nearly all of us roundneck reso owners have done and buy one online. The "Try before you buy" philosophy won't work, because you're highly unlikely just about anywhere to have a local dealer who stocks a decent variety of roundneck resos and knows anything about them. You're going to have to do your own setups, too, because few shops will have a tech who knows anything about them. Don't judge it on the basis of playing it with the dinky little strings it'll ship with, either. Seems like the manufacturers want to set them up to please the electric shredders.

There's nothing wrong with playing a squareneck "Hawaiian" style, as it was intended, of course. Lap sliding's good fun!

Yes I went shopping - You are 100% right.
every shop if it has any reso - has only one kind, one model, one company.

And often only one example.
