wrote this a while ago, but it fits, so i thought i'd record it, but i don't feel like setting all that stuff up, so you get a horrible laptop mic version.
I think I really really like it - get the gear out and do it some justice!
Hi Jason,
Cool riff 8) a la DMB https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwNJx0c8Z-0&feature=related
or reminds me of Tool https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vs0GvGnKJ9U
or Perfect Circle https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwNJx0c8Z-0&feature=related
Based on the music, around 2:00 min I was ready to hear some contrast maybe some measure long power chords...maybe like A and then C....and then back to the riff in E
Also, the music seems a bit driving and forceful for a title like "Nice Day" which seems to imply something "bright/sunny"
Could you post the lyrics? I can't make out what you are singing.
Thanks.
James
Definitely would like to read the lyrics. Whenever you might get the chance. Things are pretty hectic everywhere these days it seems.
Very cool music. Great groove.
Peace
it's dawn and a hooker's limpin in
i gotta teach kids that don't wanna learn
missiles flyin over my head
i got no weed to burn
everyone's posin
noone cares
even the idea of knowledge is scarce
but try to say anything and they'll sew up your lips
my life's f'd up
it's a nice day for an apocalypse
it's a history book lesson to elect a man with dark skin
tv's talking bout the man who said he dreamt it's not what should be matterin
but the whole world is watching
while we kill to be free
in a world run by
two ad agencies
it's all a white knuckle ride
and we scream on every market dip
this s's f'd up
it's a nice day for an apocalypse
global warming's here
the north pole will soon be gone
the jungle's made of concrete
wildlife's a lawn
and the levees are broken
and there's bombs to be hurled
and when that hard rain roars
it'll drown the whole world
and bury us all
in a total eclipse
and we keep f'n up
it's a nice day for an apocalypse.
that dmb link doesn't work.
Wow, Powerful lyrics, they cover a lot of ground. Could be several songs worth of material. I also like the rhythm and feel.
Great work, I'll be tuning in to hear and read more.

small miracles.
