I took a stab at this weeks assignment:

Christmas Tree Rock

So you had a loss in that stock
Well, I say, forget it
And you think your job's on the rocks
Well, I say, let it
Now's the time for Christmas Tree Rock

Rock that tree
C'mon now
You're still free

Someone's got your true love on lock
Just don't fret it
And house is going on the block
Let someone else get it
Now's the time for Christmas Tree Rock

Rock that tree
C'mon now
You're still free

Rock that tree
C'mon now
We're all still free

Pearl! Good to see you back, where've you been hiding?

Nice optimistic song for the season, as Xmas songs should be - in the great tradition of "Ah, well, things are falling apart, let's play some LOUD music and PARTY!" Recession? Ignore it, it'll go away!

Only line I'm having trouble with...."Your house now going to the block"....is that a slang term, as in "on the butcher's block?"...ie ready for the chop? Or something like that?

Got some music in mind for this? I reckon you need some nice up-tempo jangly guitar for this tune....and we'll ALL rock around the Xmas tree to it!

Nice to welcome one of our old friends back to the fold!

:D :D :D

Yes, it seems to fit in with the mood of the season...something in the news the other day was saying even though recession was underway, customers were still buying Christmas trees.

I wasn't quite sure of the house "going to the block" either, but the optimistic message is clear.

Thanks for sharing. :D

Got the "auction block" line. Probably just the whole English to English translation thing

I was waiting for a "and to top it off, there's a hole in my sock" line...

Great to see you back, Jane. Hope you had a good holiday and also hope we see more of you in the New Year.

Peace
