I admit, I may have subverted this weeks topic some, but this is what came out . . . . . . comments, suggestions welcome.
My Job
Em A Em A
I Was Born into this World and from the Very Start
G D A
It Was Clear as Clear Could Be
Em A Em A
That My Purpose in Life Was to Do What I Should
G D G
And Learn What I Could to Become Me
Em A Em A
It's a Full Time Job and the Journey Never Ends
G D A
It's Hard for People like You to Understand
Em A Em A
Doesn't Matter the Work That You Do
G D G
No Amount of Schooling Makes You a Man
A G A G
Now If You Are Lost and Haven't Got a Clue
A D G
You Can Have this Job Too
A G A G
Don't Have to Apply It's Already Yours
A D G
You Just Gotta Find Out Who is You
Em A Em A
Ya Gotta Listen and Look and Question What You Learn
G D A
But It's Best You Not Stray from Your Plan
Em A Em A
Ya Gotta Realize There Are Many Different Ways
G D G
But Once There You Can Say I'm What I Am
Em A Em A
Now as Jobs Go the Money Is Not So Good
G D A
But It's Not about Money, It's about Fun
Em A Em A
And Knowing When You Finally Reach the End of Your Life
G D G
You Can Say it Was a Job Well Done.
A G A G
Now If You Are Lost and Haven't Got a Clue
A D G
You Can Have this Job Too

You Just Gotta Find Out Who is You
Here's a link to a first take . . . .
Another interesting take on this week's assignment. Bob will be pleased at so many creative twists.
There are (as I'm sure you realize having performed this) some areas where you can smooth out the rhythms a little. The only spot that I think might need attention is the word "schooling." It's a little thing, but since you've been talking about jobs and occupations, perhaps "training" might be a better fit.
Looking forward to reading (and to listening to!) more.
Peace
Thanks for the reply and, yes, you're dead on with your comment. I'm already working on them. Thanks!
Hey
I like this it has a real fun take on the subject .
I also agree with David but in saying that I wouldn't like to see you alter too much though , schooling did stand out for me ( like David )
Keep up the good work
Here is to you as good as you are
And here is to me as bad as I am
As good as you are and as bad as I am
I'm as good as you are as bad as I am
I've taken David's advice, added another verse, and updated the MP3. Changes, additions, are in Bold. Thanks David!
