Hey guys! It's been awhile, I've been on other forums(mainly Harmony Central) for awhile now and missed the fun interactiveness of SSG so have come back :D .

I love the new look of the forum!!
this song is called everyone but you.

everyone knows it but you
everyone knows it but you
it seems so clear to everyone else
yeah everyone knows it but you.

Obvious,
the word of the year.
Oblivious
to all the things you can't hear

it doesn't take sherlock holmes
to sit down and crack this code
but you seem hell bent on making it appear that way

everyone knows it but you
everyone knows it but you
it seems so clear to everyone else
yeah everyone knows it but you.

I told you so,
I've told you a million times before
I thought you'd know
I just can't stand this anymore

Context clues weren't your favorite
your english teachers weren't worth a shit
because I swear anyone can see the truth

everyone knows it but you
everyone knows it but you
it seems so clear to everyone else
yeah everyone knows it but you.

I'm done with this,
I've wasted too much time
I shot and missed
I can't ever make you mine

I've missed the chance
fallen victim to circumstance
how naive can you really be

everyone knows it but you
everyone knows it but you
it seems so clear to everyone else
yeah everyone knows it but you.

I just wrote the lyrics now, tommorow after work I should get a good chance to mess around with guitar stuff and melodies for it.

Opinions, feedback, critiques would be greatly appreciated!

Kevin

I can't wait for someone to say something worth quoting here...

This is good stuff, Kevin. Chorus is great.I will look out for the song structure, when you post it. I'm interested to see how the verses sound, as the lines vary quite a bit in length and syllables in the 3 line parts.
Cheers, David
