Hi Everyone,
I'm going to be lazy this week and use a song I wrote not too long ago (you could say that about all my songs . . .) But to add a little fun, let's see who can guess the artist whose style it most ressembles. Who knows, maybe I got it wrong.

I Never Want to See You Again
I don't know your name and I don't want to play your games
Don't care who you are, or that you traveled this far
So go back where you came, you have no one to blame
and I never, never, never, never, never want to see you again
I don't have any time for people in search of a crime
There's no reason to share, with someone who can't even care
So leave me alone, this isn't your home
and I never, never, never, never, never want to see you again
Once when I was young and foolish
I thought someone like you could be the one for me
But now with all the years gone by I know that could never be
So please go away, what more can I say
I never, never, never, never, never want to see you again
There's no room in my heart, and no good reason to start
I'm sure you've heard this before so why don't you just walk out the door
This isn't the time and I won't change my mind
and I never, never, never, never, never want to see you again
You don't understand, I'm not an ordinary man
You don't hear what I say, I'm never gonna change my ways
Stay out of my life, I've had enough strife
and I never, never, never, never, never want to see you again
No I never, never, never want to see you again

On first read I didn't like never never never , while listening to the MP3 I found myself really enjoying them , very nice playing and singing ..
Sorry about not posting that other song it completely slipped my mind , I have a fair bit happening here , ,
But this song you have here is very well constructed , played and sang ..
mark out of 10... I would say 9 after all everyone needs something to set their sights on
Here is to you as good as you are
And here is to me as bad as I am
As good as you are and as bad as I am
I'm as good as you are as bad as I am
Wow, very good chefie, my favorite part was this:
Once when I was young and foolish
I thought someone like you could be the one for me
....
mostly because I could see myself relating to it!
I like this a lot Neil. I wasn't sure about the "never, never" on the first read either, but since I'm usually a fan, I figured I'd give it a listen before making any rash judgments. Of course, it ended up being perfect for the rest of the song. In fact, as I found myself singing along, I thought it might sound good if you added another round of the "never, never" line. It doesn't necessarily need it. It just might be fun--think of it with a full band--and it'll break up the chorus from all the verses. Other than that, I love it. Great.

No, no, no
No I never, never, never, never, never want to see you again

Thanks all for your comments. And Joe, that's a really good idea you had. Thanks.

Quoted for truth. I agree here, at first I didn't really like that, reading the lyrics. But after hearing the MP3 it was very good.
Great song, nothing here is negative. Great job.
Neil,
I must agree with Joe. An extra set of "nevers" at the end would
put the finishing touch on this really well.
Good Job
John
Hi Neil.
I've been reading your lyrics for a couple weeks now. (before I joined)
I like what you're doing.
And you're great with feedback as well.
Who's style does this resemble????
Hmmmmm,
A tough call.
I gonna take a leap and say Richard Thompson....?
Keep up the good work
Ken

begins to live more simply without"

"A genuine individual is an outright nuisance in a factory"
-Orson Welles
Hi Ken,
Thanks for your comments. Richard Thompson? Hmmm . . . . . I don't know. I was thinking Paul Simon.
