Hello to all

I usually don't get a full week to remind them that Valentine's Day is drawing near, so it's feeling strange to talk about it this early.

But it is coming. And your task this week is to write a song that you can imagine being covered by none other than Frank Sinatra himself, even though he obviously won't be able to do so. But if you think about it, writing a song that Old Blue Eyes would cover means that you've probably written a song that would make anyone's Valentine's Day.

As always, I look forward to reading and to listening to what you come up with.

Peace

Interesting topic.

While not Frank S., I just found out about the duo TONY BENNETT & LADY GAGA yesterday and was checking out some Youtube videos:

Have you heard Bob Dylan's latest album "Shadows in the Night"? Dylan sings songs made popular by Old Blue Eyes
Bob Dylan commented, "It was a real privilege to make this album. I've wanted to do something like this for a long time but was never brave enough to approach 30-piece complicated arrangements and refine them down for a 5-piece band. That's the key to all these performances. We knew these songs extremely well. It was all done live. Maybe one or two takes. No overdubbing. No vocal booths. No headphones. No separate tracking, and, for the most part, mixed as it was recorded. I don't see myself as covering these songs in any way. They've been covered enough. Buried, as a matter a fact. What me and my band are basically doing is uncovering them. Lifting them out of the grave and bringing them into the light of day."
