Hello to all

This week you get a bit of backstory to (hopefully) expand into a song.

Your scenario - the song's narrator (could be first person but doesn't have to be) is in the process of cleaning / moving / straightening up something and finds an object. Just what that object is will be totally up to you.

But the object doesn't belong to the narrator. It belongs to someone whom the narrator hasn't seen or even spoken to (or kept up with via Facebook, Twitter, etc.,) in ages. So, after a bit of deliberation, the narrator engages this person in conversation, which is your song.

While it may seem automatic to make this about an old romance, it certainly doesn't have to be. Could be family. Could be a former roommate. Could be a former coworker or a fellow student. The previous occupant of a home or apartment or the original owner of some item.

As always, I look forward to reading and to listening to what you come up with.

Peace

Sounds like the beginning of "Phamtom of the Opera". The auction where the toy monkey and chandelier are presented....
