Well, Andy, it is FAWM season, so get in there and pick 10 or so and get to writing! :P
You bet, got 7 down 7-1/2 2 go :!:
Kudos to the half-way mark! I'm a bit behind, but I'm working on #6 right now.....cue the muse!
I'll echo Andy - wow!
Not sure why, but "Mrs. Oxford's Lilacs" just shouts out at me. "FIre in Amherst," too, for some reason.
Are you going to update this daily?
Peace
Are you going to update this daily?
I was thinking that way. I just brainstorm for a few minutes and then add here or there throughout the day. I think once you are tuned into an "awareness mode" you are more sensitive the words around you; which is probably why it's recommended to do object writing or morning pages in the morning. It sets a mind frame for the rest of the day.
So check back later in the week for more....hopefully
You have quite a few great ideas.
Hey MrEWorm,
Thanks for the read and response....Happy Valentine's Day!
James
Did you watch the Grammys? With the exception of Adele, I didn't think any of the winners were all that musical. The award I least understodd was to Bon Iver. After they won, I Googled them and found the song "Holocene". The lyrics are sung in a falsetto voice through several layers of auto-tune. The whole thing is monotonous with ever so slight shifts in the instrumentation. The lyrics are hard to make out. When I Googled the lyrics, I understood why they were so audibly distorted. They are poetic and some phrases seem inspried but as a whole, there is no coherent narrative. Friends tell me that "Holocene" is their best song.
It evokes moods but seems almost spectral.
But they were awarded Best New Artist. Go figure.
Did you watch the Grammys?
I used to watch TV, but I gave it up. I hear it's still a pretty popular past time though.
Bon Iver
I hadn't heard of him either, but I googled a song. It sounded like it started in the middle of the song and sounded mostly like a chorus, but I have to admit I listened to it 3 times, so there must be something he is doing right.
'Let's Remember Tomorrow'
I'd nominate this for the country canon along with David's Sober/Drunk one.
:)
Don
You are such the overachiever James :)
Great List!
Can't wait until tomorrow.
OOPS! Is that another one?
Anyways "You're the ‘D' in Danger"
This would have to be done in an open D tuning
John
You are such the overachiever James :)
I don't know, John. I think alphabetizing your muse puts you in the lead for overachiever
OOPS! Is that another one?
Now, you've got it! :P
Thanks for the post :D
James, ideas just pour out of your head. Some of them have a lot of promise.
