See his success; see him shine, shine, shine
Envy of his so-called friends; thinks he's fine, fine, fine
Thin and transparent Cellophane
Smooth and glossy; oh so vain, vain, vain
Isn't it apparent we're all the same?
Thin and transparent Cellophane
Chorus
Thin and transparent Cellophane
Shiny, happy people; they seem so loveable
We all need a hug, but stay untouchable
Thin and transparent Cellophane
See her undressed; see her shine, shine, shine
No costume or pretense; beauty divine
Thin and transparent Cellophane
Humble and honest; painfully plain
Envy of her friends; unashamed
Thin and transparent Cellophane
chorus
There was a song in the late 60s or early 70s called "Seran Wrap." When I saw your title, I hesitated because that one was not suitable for mixed company.
Good imagination, as usual. And the music works well. One question, though. I'm confused about the "him" and the "her." Are they both cellophane?

Hi Renee,
One question, though. I'm confused about the "him" and the "her." Are they both cellophane?
Yes. I was trying to have the chorus have a different light or meaning after the verses.....the basic idea is actions speak louder than words.....so we keep our "masks" or "best faces" to present our "best" to others, but really people can see through our attempts a lot better than we think they can......
"Seran Wrap."
Interesting, I haven't heard about that one.
Thanks for the listen and post. :D
