Church song styles of music have been chants, hymns, gospel/hymns, and praise & worship

This is a praise & worship where the song is a gift to God remembering and thanking Him for Christmas and Easter; two major events in the Christian faith.

================Revised Version=======================

Verse 1
We bring our offering
The song we sing
We bring our offering
To You our God and King
Remembering all You’ve done before
You hold our lives and so much more
We bring our offering to You

Verse 2
You gave us Jesus
You gave Your Son
You gave us Jesus
The gift for everyone
Baby born on Christmas Day
Shepherds, wise men, angels say
We bring our offering to You

Chorus (2 times)
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
We bring our offering to You

Verse 3
He gave His life
Died on a cross
He gave His life
To save the lost
Jesus rose on Easter Day
Those¬ reborn can live and say
We bring our offering to You

Chorus

Repeat Verse 1

Hi James

Once again, nice work. I can certainly here this being done at worship services nowadays. I wouldn't be surprised if someone at some point asked your permission to use this.

Two things - the only line I worry about (not overly so) is the "you are worthy of so much more" at near the end of the first verse. In and of itself it's fine but in the context of the song (and it just may be me bopping around to the perky beat) it seems a little, I don't know, unworthy of either God or the narrator. Maybe
Remembering what You’ve done before
We can only wish to give You more

or maybe:
Remembering what You’ve done before
You hold our souls and so much more

Just a thought. The other thought would be to change "an offering" to either "this offering" or "our offering" simply to make it a specific rather than a generic giving. Again, it's terribly minor and I could easily make a case for it remaining just as it is.

Again, thank you for a pleasant start to the week. Looking forward to more.

Peace

Hi David,
Remembering what You’ve done before
You hold our souls and so much more
I like this idea
either "this offering" or "our offering"
I like the more specific of "our"....it's a bit harder to sing, but I like the sound and bit of struggle on the word.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions :D

James, like David, I can see this as a worship song being used at a service and can picture people singing along to it. Very nice.

The revised lyrics are better. I have no suggestions. It all works.
