Hi Everyone

If you've read your Guitarnoise news from last week you'll know I'm stepping down from running this forum at the end of this SSG year. Too many other commitments steal my time. So I thought I'd go out on one of my favourite types of assignment, one in which we produce a different part of a song collaboratively. We'll do titles this week, choruses next and verses for my last week.

What I want you to do this week is just post up some titles for songs, try to restrict yourself to three or four and when commenting on other peoples titles give them an idea of what that title makes you think of, what you'd write the song about from that title and see how different it is from their original concept.

Good writing

Bob

Bob

I was sorry to hear about your retirement from SSG. You will be missed.
It sounds like David has some good things planned though.

Anyways this was a great assignment last time and a good chance for
people to go though their Bits and Pieces file.

+1 to that. :)

I've been amazed at how long you've been doing the job here and very impressed by how much time and effort you've put in to benefit the rest of us. I think that you can take a well earned retirement, feeling satisfied by the knowledge that what is proposed to replace you is:
to have a rotating group of "assignment leaders" who will each take a turn
at four or so lessons and then pass the baton to the next group leader.

Most people get replaced by a computer chip these days. But when Bob goes we need a team of people to fill the gap!

Hoping that we'll still see you back here from time to time as a songwriter. 8)

Cheers,

Chris

Yeah, I think many of us understand time committments but just like the others have said, I really aprpeciate the time and effort you put into SSG. You will be missed. I think you helped to enhance many of our abilities. Even those like me who didnt post every week.

Thanks again
Jim

Bob, thank you so much for taking over for me so very, very long ago. It was a load off my mind to have this place in your capable, creative hands. You've done a wonderful job that I know many people are thankful for. I'm doubling your salary for the next several weeks, don't spend it all in one place.

Thanks again.
