Title: Never Never Never
Style: Teen pop
Verse 1:
I was packing
my bag when
the phone rang
oh yes
when the phone rang
I was heading
back home when
the phone rang
that's right
when the phone rang
Pre-chorus:
I would cross any land or sea
to make you stop calling me
Chorus:
I never never never
want to talk to you again
I'll never never never know
why I tried to be your friend
I tried to be your friend but now
I never want to talk to you again
Verse 2:
I was thinking
Of you when
The phone rang
Oh
When the phone rang
Thinking of the
Lies you told
About me
…
When the phone rang
Pre-Chorus:
Oh how could I ever forget
How sweet you were when we first met (but now)
Chorus:
I never never never
want to talk to you again
I'll never never know
why I tried to be your friend
I tried to be your friend but now
I never want to talk to you again
Bridge:
I always thought that we
were as close as hearts could be
You broke my heart with the lies you told
How could your heart be so cold?
Chorus:
I never never never
want to talk to you again
I'll never never never know
why I tried to be your friend
I tried to be your friend but now
I never want to talk to you again
I wonder what about this line brings on these images of betrayal?
I do like this, and would like to hear what music you've come up with.
Falling in love is like learning to play the guitar; first you learn to follow the rules, then you learn to play with your heart.
Sounds pretty cool to me - you get minus one street cred point for choosing the "Teen Pop" genre, but plus 10 for a bloody good guitar riff. Like the double tracked vocals too.
Reminds me a bit of Rick Springfield's "Jesse's Girl" - a bit poppy, but hell, every once in a while, there's nothing wrong with some good old-fashioned pop music. I've heard a lot worse on the radio! BTW, I liked "Jesse's Girl" - probably in a minority amongst serious classic rock fans, but there you go.....
:D :D :D

I like this a lot. I kept thinking of the Cars. Good Job!

Good Job Lavadave,
I agree more with Kathy than Vic. I immediately thought of The Cars or The Knack.
As for "Jesse's Girl" I believe that is one of those songs that no serious Rock fan
will admit to liking but when they're alone and it comes on they know every word
and sing along with great gusto. (...or is that just me? )
