Im not sure I got it right this week, I've done the family life thing about a young lad in an abusive situation. I've tryed to put a twist on it instead of just doing the norm. I hope I dont offend anyone.

1,
When Tommy is scared he shuts his eyes
He's learned no one comes when he cries
He covers his ears to block out the noise
And hides in his room with his broken toys

2,
Tommy doesn't know affection
His mother gives him rejection
She only cares for alcohol
She passes out once more
The bottle hits the floor
Tommy goes hungry again

Chorus,
Somewhere, Somebody,
Out there cares
Someday, Someone,
Might answer his Prayers

3,
Tommy is “Special” to Uncle John
He has a secret
He can't tell anyone
Its NOT! Fun or Childs play
A young boys innocence
Torn away..

hey heelsy:)

I think this is a great one.
especially the last verse is very well done.
Tommy goes hungry again for me this line brings up a vivid image of the poor boy.

overall I like it very much:)

One of those subjects people tend to shy away from, but this is sensitively handled.......

Good writing, Heelsy......very evocative of that televised NSPCC appeal...
