A few days ago, I was watching an interview with the British film director, Steve McQueen... he was talking about "12 years a slave." Now I haven't seen that film yet, but one thing he said stuck in my mind..."filming on the same plantations that Solomon worked on, was like dancing with ghosts." What a beautifully evocative phrase, I thought ....so there's your title for this week...Dancing With Ghosts.
Do it justice, please...
