Hi all - and a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all... :D

Ok, we were told to put the 'fun' back into Christmas with a song, but this one was niggling at me to get it written - and I'm pretty pleased i did. I haven't got any music for it yet, but it could be a nice one, and it has got a bit of a 'fun' element to it....

I have actually thought of a really fun one, but that would be getting a bit greedy wouldn't it. :?

I suppose you need to be aware of the eating habits of us British to fully understand the relevance of this song, but give it a go.....

A Christmas Coincidence

It was the night before Christmas, I was with my girlfriend Mary
We were bored to tears with the MTV, the fake tree with a fairy

There was a party in the pub next door, the disco made a din
But the bouncer stopped us at the door - no room at the Inn

Chorus
Christmas Eve in a modern town and we knew just what to do
A neon sign shone from afar and sent us a star clue
Bedecked in flashing antlers like we'd escaped from Santa's zoo
We followed the light as the snow fell down, together, just us two

The King of India stood before, complete with Christmas tree
Whatever time of night or year it was always the place to be

We felt a welcome warming as we squeezed ourselves in
There stood the owner, his two sons, the Three Kings with a grin

Christmas Eve in a modern town and we knew just what to do
A neon sign shone from afar and sent us a star clue
Bedecked in flashing antlers like we'd escaped from Santa's zoo
We followed the light as the snow fell down, together, just us two

The King was bursting at the seams, we got a seat next to the window
they brought a tray of poppadoms, some sauces and a menu

She didn't choose her favourite, prawns, she said she wasn't crazy
I've got something to tell you, I am going to have your baby

Christmas Eve in a modern town and we knew just what to do
A neon sign shone from afar and sent us a star clue
Bedecked in flashing antlers like we'd escaped from Santa's zoo
We followed the light as the snow fell down, together, just us two

So this is how it came to pass now the two of us are three
This Christmas we will stay at home, Mary, baby David and me

I believe that night at the King that someone was watching o'er us
Of course they know me well in there. My name? My name is Joseph

:D Thanks

Ho ho ho ho ho ho On!

this is funny. i like it. the only thing is that I don't think the chorus needs to be there more than twice.
