Y9W14 St. 451

Vs 1
It's a cold winter's night; the shops are aglow
The firemen enjoy the show
The prayers on the lips of the bookshop owners
Rise with the billows of smoke

Pre-chorus
The world; the world is at an end
All has come undone
All has come undone

Chorus
When everyone puts their faith in you
Both sides wonder who you're gonna choose
'Cause someone's gonna win; someone's gonna loose
Hey, Saint 451, what'cha gonna do?

Vs 2
Firemen bring their prayers to you to carry; carry on
But one afternoon time fell asleep in the sunshine, Dear John

pre-chorus

chorus

Bridge
It's gonna be another hot time in this old town
'Cause you just can't put a good book down
Dangerous words and thoughts keeps spreading round

chorus
Hey, Saint 451, we're waiting on you
Hey, Saint 451, what'cha gonna do?

I like it. Don't think I've heard a song about a Ray Bradbury book before. Good job.

Nicely done, James

These words came to mind while listening . . .

The pyre has been built
The fire has been lit

. . . umh . . .
Burning words that spell dissent
Not tolerating discontent

Again, well done . . . you fire the imagination, my friend.

It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.

Hi MrEWorm and Ken,

Thanks for the listens and posts. Like Dylan, I was a bit overwhelmed by the list of saints.....the one about book sellers caught my attention which made me think about Fahrenheit 451.....so I was going to have a bit of spiritual battle between the book sellers' saint and the fire fighters'....then I had my LOL moment when I saw St. John of God is a patron saint for both groups.....so the idea fleshed itself out; similar to what I envision in the Civil War; both side praying to the same God or Saint in this case for help/victory....

Booksellers
* St. John of God
Firefighters
* St. John of God
* St. Florian

Hi James,

Really like this one. You've got some cool chord harmony going on, majors where you'd expect minor,
that sort of thing and the melody is interesting.

Also, you are really polishing your sound and production.

Thanks for the listen.
