Y9W15 Fog and Drizzle

http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=10249699

Who's watching over this city where crime never sleeps?
Where angels fear to tread with danger in the streets?
Who can you turn to in the dark, dark of night?
Who will stand for justice; stand up for what's right?

Chorus
Detectives Fog and Drizzle
Got your back when you're in a jam
Detectives Fog and Drizzle
They're there when you need a hand
Detectives Fog and Drizzle
Two warriors on the move
Detectives Fog and Drizzle
Two crazy, crazy cops with killer, killer attitudes

They'll need to be something special; someone you can trust
Know how to go the extra mile; know how to make the bust
'Cause there's plenty of trouble out there looking for a fight
They'll do whatever it takes to make sure you're alright

chorus

Detective Jefferson T. Fog's
Got your back when you're in a jam
Detective Jerome Drizzle
He's there when you need a hand
Detectives Fog and Drizzle
Two warriors on the move
Detectives Fog and Drizzle
Two crazy, crazy cops with killer, killer attitudes

You've got all the makings of a new TV show, with the exception of the villians. And I'd love to see you include them as a substitute for your last verse, which IMHO is a bit weak. With your creativity and imagination I'm sure it would add a whole new dimension. Mr Heatwave? Empty Skies? Other than that, I really loved what you did with this assignment. Music backing was awesome.

I am thinking a movie with Samuel L Jackson as Detective Jerome Drizzle.

That's a great suggestion! What good are super heroes without super villains

Hi Ernie.

Yes, I kept hearing where sound bites from him would work nicely :D

Thanks for the listens and posts. I'm not sure I'll get in the changes too soon. I am trying the FAWM challenge at FAWM.org which is 14 songs in the 28 days of Feb.

As of now I have 4 done-10 more to go

Definitely needs to be a TV show theme song.

When I first read thru the lyrics, I pictured more of a Tom Waites arrangement, such as http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuaUv1Lh0iA , but then I listened to your more funky arrangement, and it fits just as well.

I think that's a good sign when a song can fit more than one arrangement/performance style.

Great energy and very visual.

It left me a little breathless thinking about singing it in the chorus in places.

I keep tapping my toe and am now humming it.

Yes, time to call in the back up singers :P

Hi MrEWorm
"Enough is enough! I have had it with these motherfing rain clouds on this motherfing plane!"

Yes, I can picture that.....then the funny thing was I pictured Hello Kitty saying the very same line.....now that would be something to see....Hello Kitty doing all of Samuel Jackson's lines in every movie he's ever made.....

.....maybe that was South Park's appeal....cutesy cartoon shape characters with cussing adult mouths

Thanks for the posts.
